Community Engagement Program
Teens Service Club
High-quality education programs have a significant impact on a child’s future success. Diverse active learning experiences that foster resilience, social skills, and the ability to keep learning have long-term economic and social benefits for the community and society. Our Community Engagement programs for children of all ages are free, student led, and community driven services that help children build strong STEM knowledge, develop innovation and social skills, and grow to be happy, successful learners. Working together, we will build a better community by changing a child’s life, one at a time.

Summer Camp 2023
Bellevue College’s Running Start Student Association and the Teens Service Club are working together to offer a free summer camp at Bellevue College. The camp aims to promote high-quality early education for elementary students in the community, with priority given to underserved students who might not afford a fee-based camp.
The free STEAM and Social Learning Camp takes a holistic approach toward learning with hands-on projects related to science, engineering, arts and social emotional concepts. Academic tutoring is also provided for campers. The camp’s mission is to help students build academic, STEM, and social skills through hands-on, project-based learning.
The summer camp is 100% run by volunteers, with Newport High School’s Teaching Academy interns and high schoolers from Issaquah and Bellevue school districts as volunteer teachers and adult supervisors every day.
Campers, look forward to learning with hands-on activities, developing lifelong social skills, and having fun with friends. High school volunteers, join the team for a meaningful community service project where you will gain valuable experiences, develop skills, build friendships and connect to the community!
